Department Details

M.Tech in  Electrical Power Systems(EPS) programme:

It started in the academic year 2004-05. The motivation behind starting of this program to produce more Electrical Powers Engineers in order to meet requirement of the state and Nation Industry.
The duration of the course is four semesters. The Course work is conducted in the first two semesters, while the third and fourth semesters are dedicated for project work. The students thus have an opportunity for doing reasonably real time live projects and get fully prepared to readily take up assignments in the Power Sector. The present intake for the program is 18.

  • To be a Centre for State-of-the-art learning and research in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, where the stakeholders could explore, experiment and exhibit their expertise with an industrial outlook.

  • To EQUIP the student with advanced learning skills in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering as well as the professional skills necessary to face the challenges of the future.
  • To ENGINEER the student to engage in research activities leading to innovative applications of technology for the benefit of society.
  • To ENABLE the student with the qualities of leadership and social responsibility.
