The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) [CSE(AI&ML)] was established in 2022 with an initial intake of 60 students to prepare graduates for the next generation of intelligent software systems. With the increasing demand for AI-focused education and industry-ready professionals, the intake has been enhanced to 150 seats from the academic year 2025–26.

The program offers a unique blend of core Computer Science and Engineering subjects and specialized Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning courses. Students gain a strong foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, computer networks, and software engineering, while also developing expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Computer Vision, and Generative AI.

With a focus on AI-integrated software development, the department equips students to design, develop, and deploy intelligent applications that address real-world challenges. The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning through projects, internships, technical events, and industry interactions. The department is supported by state-of-the-art computer laboratories with modern computing infrastructure, high-speed internet connectivity, and industry-standard software tools that foster innovation, experimentation, and research.

The Department of CSE(AI&ML) is committed to developing skilled, innovative, and industry-ready software engineers capable of leveraging Artificial Intelligence to build next-generation technologies and solutions.
