  1. T. Naveen from our IT department secured the prestigious Runner-Up position in the HackX Hackathon, conducted by the CSE-AIDS aligned branches and Data Wranglers, competing in the EdTech domain.   2. Students from our IT department participated actively in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2026, from 1st April to 2nd April one of the most prestigious national-level hackathons in the country. With great enthusiasm and teamwork, our students collaborated to build strong and innovative projects aimed at addressing real-world challenges. Their participation stands as a proud testament to the department's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence among its students.

  3. Rishitha has successfully earned the MongoDB Associate Developer certification, demonstrating her strong command over database management and modern development practices. She has shown remarkable dedication and technical aptitude in mastering one of the most widely used NoSQL databases in the industry.   4. Vinay Kalvakunta has been proudly appointed as the AWS Cloud Club Captain for JBIET, a prestigious recognition of his exceptional leadership skills and deep passion for cloud technology.   5. Deeksha from our department represented us with great pride at the NCC Camp of Ek Bharath Shresth Bharat, where she was honored with a medal for Best Anchoring. The department congratulates her on this splendid achievement and takes immense pride in her outstanding performance.

  6. Students of the IT department proudly initiated the HackWithIndia Chapter at JBIET on 22nd November 2025, with a grand inauguration graced by the presence of the HOD, Principal, and Dean, marking it as a truly significant milestone for the institution. The chapter was established as a central-level club, open and accessible to students of all branches, fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration across the campus. The inauguration was further enriched by two industry experts who delivered inspiring and insightful sessions, leaving a lasting impression on all the students in attendance

Sohel from our IT department secured the 3rd Prize in the Poster Presentation competition organized by the CSE Department on 30th January 2027, showcasing his creativity and knowledge in a commendable manner.   3. The department proudly organized the CodeVerse Hackathon, a dynamic and competitive event that witnessed enthusiastic participation from second and third-year IT students. Around 15 students took part in the hackathon, working across diverse and impactful domains such as Agriculture, EdTech, FinTech, and Healthcare, showcasing their creativity and technical expertise. The event provided a fantastic platform for students to collaborate, innovate, and build solutions addressing real-world challenges, reflecting the department's dedication to nurturing a strong culture of problem-solving and innovation.
    Shiva (Roll No. 23671A1251), a second-year student from our IT department, has demonstrated exceptional initiative and technical prowess by developing a project focused on Multiclass Classification for Plant Disease Detection. Leveraging the power of machine learning and image processing, his project aims to accurately identify and classify multiple plant diseases, contributing to the advancement of smart agriculture and crop management. This impressive work highlights Shiva's passion for applying technology to solve real-world problems and stands as a proud achievement for the department.

  4. State Level Hackathon

     The State Level Hackathon witnessed an overwhelming and enthusiastic response from our IT department, with more than 20-25 students stepping up to participate and represent the department on a competitive state-wide platform. Students from various years came together with a shared passion for technology and innovation, making it a truly collective and inspiring effort.

    The participants engaged across a diverse range of domains, bringing fresh ideas and creative solutions to the table. Their ability to identify real-world problems and develop meaningful technological interventions showcased the depth of knowledge and the problem-solving mindset that our department strives to cultivate in every student.

    What truly stood out was the active participation and unwavering dedication displayed by each and every student throughout the hackathon. Their commitment to building impactful projects, working under pressure, and pushing their limits reflects the true spirit of innovation that defines our IT department.   5. TCS YOUNG EDGE PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE COMPLETION

The IT department takes immense pride in announcing that its students have been successfully placed across 14 diverse and reputed companies, spanning industries such as technology, finance, training, and beyond. With a collective total of 49 placements, all held on campus at JBIET, this achievement stands as a powerful reflection of the talent, perseverance, and professional readiness that our students bring to the table. From global giants like Amazon and Cognizant to dynamic firms like Dexterity, HDFC, and HCL Collabera, our students have proven their mettle and carved their path into the professional world with confidence.

  1. Rajath won the 1st prize in Table Tennis event conducted at JBIET on Mar-2024

  2. Vamsi and his team won the 1st prize in Cricket conducted at JBIET On Mar

     

  3. Our student Mayank Kumar Dubey participated in a debate organized by the Language Club at JBIET. The debate was centered on the topic 'Gen AI: Friend or Foe,' where they presented their viewpoints and engaged in thoughtful discussions about the implications of generative AI.

  4. Students from the IT Department have secured placements in 11 reputed companies, including industry giants like Amazon, HCL, and Accenture (via Centum). A total of 50 students have been placed across diverse organizations such as Mitsogo Technology, Dexterity, QSpiders, and ExcelR Edutech, with salary packages ranging from 3.6 LPA to 6 LPA. These placements, held at JBIET, reflect the strong industry connect and quality training provided to students. This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the dedication of students and the institution's commitment to career readiness.

  4. Y Manohar Reddy  of IT Department in 2023 successfully completed the registered course on NPTEL named  “Programming in Python”  bearing 4 credits with 84% obtained.

  5. T Akhil Reddy secured an elite certificate in NPTEL registered course named The Joy of Programming in Python with 60%.
