  One of the mechanical projects exhibited in the JNTU Techno Feast has bagged 1st prize in mechanical and civil category. The project with title “Extraction of water from atmospheric air” fabricated in Department of Mechanical Engineering by students Mr.Vikram and Mr.Hemanth(IV B.Tech), has won the first prize at JNTU Techno Feast 2011. Dr.D.N.Reddy, Vice Chancellor has presented these mechanical engineering students with mementoes and gifts.

  JBIET has organized a Five-day workshop on teaching learning pedagogy, in association with Mission 10X programme of Wipro Foundation from 6th June 2011 to 10th June 2011.. Total 30 participants attended this training programme. Apart from JBIET, participants from JBREC, BEC and JNRWEC also took part in this workshop. Valedictory session of this workshop was held on 10th June 2011. Dr. K. Lakshminarayana IAS, Technical Commissioner, Govt. of AP, was the Chief Guest and he called for participative democratic learning. Shri J.V. Krishnarao Secretary JB Educational Society and Dr. Niraj Upadhayaya also addressed the valedictory session.

Most of the students are shown active interest and participated with zeal and enthusiasm.

Group Discussion

The participants are MBA Final Year students . Discussions were made on issues like Plastic and Wooden Toys, Beauty Care Products. Students showed their communication skills and shared their ideas and views on the topics they selected. The program was conducted under supervision of Director MBA (OU).

Seminar on Diaster Management

Faculty attended ISB - workshop on " Earth Quake Diasters in India: Management and Mitigation Measures" on 19th and 20 th of November 2009. After that the same was shared with the students in the form of Seminar.

A seminar on "Diaster Management" was given on 09/01/2010. Various issues regarding diaster was discussed with students. Students dynamically gave creative ideas how to manage diaster. The seminar was organised by faculty of MBA Department - OU and benefited by both JNTU and OU faculty and students

Guest Lecture on SPSS
The lecture has given by Mr.Nagaraju, faculty at VBIT, Ghatkesar to MBA students . Students has learned how to use statistical tools and also about SPSS Package. The program was conducted two days.
